ARC Centre of Excellence success in ASCI

Tim is one of 17 chief investigators part of a new $94.6 million ARC Centre of Excellence to empower workers in the digital age.

The ARC Centre of Excellence for Quality Work in a Digital Age (QWiDA) will work with international researchers, industry, and government on how workers and organisations can better use technology in the workplace. Tim will lead the UQ node, which will investigate augmenting working with artificial intelligence and automation, looking at effects beyond just technology efficiency, such as the effect on work quality, worker well-being, and investigating important topics such as skill erosion from artificial intelligence.

Tim is joined at UQ by Prof Andrew Neal and A/Prof Tim Ballard, both from the School of Psychology. Other nodes will operate from Curtin University, The University of Melbourne, Adelaide University, UNSW, Swinburne University of Technology, and QUT.
