ASCA success at ASCI!

Tim was fortunate to be awarded $2.8 million dollars for a new project Scalable Human Augmentation with Deference and Explainability, awarded by the Advanced Strategic Capabilities Accelerator (ASCA). SHADE is one of handful of projects announced as part of ASCA’s Decision Advantage program.

Tim will lead the project, with CIs A/Prof Pier Howe from the University of Melbourne, and Dr Leon Clark from Lockheed Martin Australia.

The project will investigate how to make decisions at scale, experimenting with techniques such as ‘learning to defer’, and aiming to pioneer new project in the area of ‘explainability sets’ – grouping and explaining sets of decisions to reduce cognitive load.

Stay tuned for more once the project beings in February!
